Certification

IQ Counseling and the Anti-12 Steps Education Programs are now proud to offer certification for those wishing to become recognized Anti-12 Steps education professionals. Certification helps to illustrate your added skill options to both your clients and your practice. Certification insures that the Anti-12 Steps information used in treatment is accurate and focused towards recovery.

Our program offers four categories of certification, each with its own benefits and opportunities. Our certification program is divided into the following categories:

1 Certified "Educator" - This is our standard in certification. This certificate signifies completion of the "Educator" course and a basic level of knowledge of the system and its function in the recovery process. This is an excellent certification for those who wish to help guide clients or group members to the concepts of the Anti-12 Steps in relation to their recovery. 1 hour training seminar.

2 Certified "Instructor" - This certification qualifies an individual to conduct group or individual sessions as a recognized instructor of the Anti-12 Steps. Instructors will be trained in tactics using the Anti-12 philosophy, and 4th step work for the recovering individual. This credential also allows the individual to obtain discount rates on educational materials and literature for use in their teaching of the Anti-12 Steps principles. Requires: 5 hour training seminar.

3 Certified "Therapist" - This certification recognizes an individual as both a registered or certified professional and counselor capable of teaching the Anti-12 Steps method both to groups and individuals. Applicants are required to provide proof of valid certification, or membership in a recognized counseling association or organization, and qualified by their state guidelines to practice therapy or counseling in good standing. Requires: Educator Certification, 5 hour training seminar. This certification also can be expanded to allow the individual to conduct "educator" seminars and to submit attendees for certification at the educator level.

4 Certified "Trainer" - This certification recognizes an individual as a registered "Trainer" in the Anti-12 Steps Recovery Education System. Certified "Trainers" are qualified to conduct their own education, instructor, and therapist training sessions, and submit participants for official registration and certification in the Anti-12 Steps Recovery Education System. Trainers submit completed training and certification paperwork and participants are fully recognized under the certification system. Requires: Education certification, Instructor certification, a 5 hour Trainer seminar, and 2 co-education seminars. (Co-seminar requirements may be waived for out of state participants with the completion of a special condensed workshop in addition to the Trainer requirements.)

Fees: Rates are on a "per person" basis, but may be discounted for groups (see below).
